G3 W39

sidenote: I should have learned my lesson by now, and be more consistent and regular in posting, as I am now trying to catch up from way back in May/June. Hoy.

Have I mentioned how easy it is to get you to read? That's because you LOVE to read. At the moment, we have 2 books in the car because you could hardly stand to not to be reading as we ride along.

I still try to get a wide spectrum of books to read every week.  Sometimes it's biographies, sometimes it's just silly tales, sometimes it is something a little more serious.

Sometimes it's because we are learning a certain topic at school.

Other times, it's just for the fun of it.

Also, we noticed that you had some blackheads on your nose. I don't know how many 9 year olds have to do the Biore Strip on their noses, but we did for you, and it worked like a charm.

As I have mentioned before, you love experiments, and this time we were making stalagtites and stalagmites out of a solution of super salted water.

You are quite good at doing work on your own, reading instructions and going ahead with what needs to be done.  The actual experiment itself though, still needs assistance a lot of the time.

I try to make sure there is some hands-on work on most days that will help you understand better the lesson of the day, and so that you might remember it better.

That doesn't mean there aren't times when 2 boxes of tissue paper spark off your imagination. :)

We drove over to the Umbrella Park one day, and while you were glad to revisit it after quite a while, it was a little sad to see how faded the equipment were, and how you didn't fit in a whole bunch of them anymore!
