Semi TMI post ahead:
Having all this pressure in my abdomen and massive amounts of pregnancy hormones have given me the 'roids. I can't even bring myself to type out the entire word, it's quite depressing. It's not painful or bleeding, but quite annoying at times and definitely not very lady-like. *sigh*
Another relatively new development in the aches and pains category is foot pain. More precisely, the sole of the foot, or plantar fascia pain. It feels like the fascia is being stretched and I have to step very carefully. And it's all because of, once again, all the hormones and preggo weight, causing me to have semi flat feet.
BUT then again, when I got into this, I knew I was getting the whole package, and I am determined to take it all in my stride and even savor these discomforts, coz Junior might very well be our only child, and it really does make me feel much closer to him, weird as it may sound.
Afterthought : I can't even begin to imagine what kinds of maladies the octomum must have had. Egad.

Why didn't I think of this earlier?
I hadn't bought much maternity stuff to wear during the pregnancy. One pair of maternity jeans ( they stop being comfortable quite a while back and so I've been wearing my pre-preggo jeans with my belly belt and belly band ), one pair of yoga-like pants which I love, a pair of maternity shorts, and about 3 maternity tops. I've been able to get away with wearing my blousier stuff, and bigger t-shirts.
I have, however, from young, only worn shorts at home. So that one pair of maternity shorts has had to do quadruple duty, along with one stretchy pair of shorts I've had for a while. However, in my el hugeo preggo deluxo state, the stretchy shorts just isn't comfortable anymore, and my clothes seem to get dirtier faster as the pregnancy advances.
So.... I've taken to raiding the hub's underwear drawer and I have to say, I should have started wearing his boxer shorts around the house much earlier. Man, they're comfortable.
:)

And daddy goes, "huh?"
We had a visit with the OGBYN last week, and she did an internal exam on me. I was 50% effaced, 1cm dilated, and the station was about -2.
I know. Daddy thought "huh??" too.
There weren't ( and aren't ) any signs of labor yet.... I wasn't having any contractions as yet, nor did I have any kind of show or leakiness. I DID, however, have some "nesting" tendencies, and have most, if not all of your stuff in place, as well as having sorted out the clothes that we bought and that stephanie and other people gave us in the plastic 3 tier drawer thingies.
Anyway, we see her again tomorrow ( Tuesday ), and I guess she'll do another exam. Like I mentioned in the other blog, our bags are packed, except for daddy's ( *grin* )
It IS getting increasingly difficult to walk as fast as I want to. I just have to be content to waddle slowly along while the world speeds on past... and there's discomfort in my ribs where you are pushing against, and also some achiness in the lower abdominal/pelvis area some times. I pretty much gave up on sitting with my legs together quite some time ago, and often need a pillow at my lower back when sitting in the lounger to watch a movie with daddy, not to mention having to have him lug me out of the chair for pee breaks and after the movies.

Under threat of...
"If I go into labor, you're gonna have to put this together by yourself!"
Or at least that's what daddy said spurred him to finally put your bed together. :) Silly Daddy.
Catch a glimpse of your little pack n play bed over at mummy's blog..And you, mah boy, are going to be bunking with mummy and daddy for a while till we become less paranoid parents, or your room gets ready.

Next I gotta threaten your daddy with a similar threat regarding the CAR SEAT!

2 preggo BFFs
Your auntie Eileen, whom mommy loves to bits, and who lives in Australia, is also pregnant right now, with baby #2.
If the J'ster is anything to go by, this second baby will be utterly GORGEOUS and BRILLIANT as well :)
Auntie Eileen is due a couple of weeks earlier than us, and she's hanging in there like a champ :) And I love it love it love it that we're both having babies a couple of weeks apart ( well, by due date anyway )...
BFFs and I.S.es ( Yes, auntie Eileen, you still remember what an I.S. is, aye? :) ) and of course, Piggula and Porcupig RULE FOREVAH!
Overheard between 2 very preggo women :
Auntie Eileen : hey mate. how're is all going? haven't heard in a while, and not wanting to assume you've gone into early labour what with the backache and all? i can't even walk properly let alone take care of the j'ster :(
Mommy : ugh i know what you mean.... i can hardly walk either, and i can't get up from the sitting/lying down position, the baby's a** is against my diaphragm and kicking on what seems to be my sternum, and he's using my perineum as a punching bag - maybe that'll substitute for perineal massage. Plus now I've got 4 chins. *sigh* :) But all is good for now.. i am ready for baby to be here, but not till HE is ready :) Hey, MESSAGE ME like the last time when little baby gets here! If I'm lucid enough and not out of my mind when MINE gets here, I'll for sure do the same, although he won't be due for another 4 weeks come Friday, but ya never know....... :)
Oooo I can't wait to see Auntie Eileen's new baby and YOU, of course, my little babyness :)

I don't mean to whine and complain
but I've just had about the worst backachey night of the pregnancy. I couldn't get comfortable AT ALL, no matter what I did, and if I did doze off, I would wake up again aching and numb. I decided to give up after a while and maybe i'll be able to catch some winks later in the day..
I love you to death, babyness, but this back ache is killing me. *sigh*

Just like daddy
Daddy has a thing for cowboy boots,
and so I couldn't resist getting you a pair at the Dittos for Kiddos sale. You probably won't be able to wear them till you're about 2 or 3, but I love how they look next to your daddy's big size 14s. Hehehee... And sure, they're used and scuffed, but HEY, they're Tony Lama's, so no complaints.
