G3 W31

More Eerieness..

We continue our book series endeavours....

among other things...

We stopped by Tractor Supply to get some Pine Pellets for the cats' litter, and ended up gawking and oohing & aahing over little baby chicks and ducks :)

We got inventive,

and dug out the Olde Photo Booth Fun Box and made the next silly mask.

All in all, a productive week :)

G3 W30 The Artsy Craftsy Week

One good thing about having a library at your disposal is that you can borrow and re-read them whenever you like.

You had asked for the next books in the Fangbone Series and we got ours through the InterLibrary Loan.

Flying Beaver Brothers - another favorite to re-read.

New Book Series(es?) to explore!

... and the rest.. ( to the tune of Gilligan's Island ). You get it. :)

You made a collage with Silky as the main star, and we tried our hand at Pop Art.

Here's another of the DIY snacks, and this one was well received.  I think we have about 2 left :(

One thumb up only because the other hand is busy :)

We learned about Owl Pellets, and made some extremely simple Owl Crafts.

Silky was quite the Art Appreciator.

We also had some really good weather, and you decided to bring your toys out for some Vitamin D time.

You also wanted to make a Hot Air Balloon "like Mario does in Mario Odyssey", and so we did an impromptu Papier-Mâché craft.

We also celebrated Pi day ( with some Pie ), as well as learning about how to calculate Pi, and how it came about.

We also stepped out of our "classroom" at 10 am on March 24th to show our support for March for Our Lives :)

Meanwhile, you are still enjoying learning cursive, and we noticed how "inclusive" your Math book is.

Oooo it was also the week when  you finally got to do the Slip and Slide that Uncle Lin gave you.
We thought it was warm enough out, but apparently the water out of the hose was still too chilly and after a few minutes, you decided you were Way Too Cold :)

A Little Bit of CNY

Chinese New Year is not a big deal here in Abilene, and as the years go by, I have pretty much given up any chance of anything happening here in Abilene that doesn't have to do with the Chinese Society Students at ACU. And even then, it seems quite sporadic these days.

ANYWAY, you had been asking that we at least have some fireworks during the 15 days of the CNY, and so on the last day, we brought out some of the stash, and you had a grand time with some Super Long Sparklers. :)

G3 W29

Embarking on a New Book Series.

And Another.

Revisiting some old favorites.

Yeah, old favorites indeed.

And then there's The Assortment.

We learned about Habitats and Ecosystems and made a Woodpecker Craft.

And discovered how deceiving curls can be as to hair length.

And then we had some romp time in the Indoor Playground at Beltway North.

See ya next week!
