Cindy gave this game to you when you were done playing, as a Christmas gift, but I can't for the life of me, remember what the name of it is.... I will have to remind myself to ask Cindy the next time I talk to her.

The Christmas Bike

You received a "big boy"/"adult" sized bike for Christmas, and couldn't wait to try it out.

We had a little boy's bike with training wheels when you were littler, and you got to be a pro with that, but we never did transition to a non-training wheels bike, and so we were a little apprehensive at first. 

We DID know though, that this was one of the things, that once you got the hang of, you would love and enjoy.

The first day we went out to practice, you were very wobbly, and I coached you on trying to just glide along with it for a bit etc.  Even though you had to put your feet down for balance every couple of feet, you were very diligent and wanted to keep at it.

You promised that you were going to practice every single day :)

It's a Ginger Bread House Decorating Kind of Day!

Okay, okay, I have to be honest, we haven't been the best DIY Ginger Bread Housers, especially when we use Graham Crackers because Mom

a ) is too cheap to buy the actual Ginger Bread House Kits
b) has too many things to deal with to come up with a ginger bread recipe and make those from scratch.

So, Graham Cracker faux Gingerbread Houses it is!

Not that we have any less fun doing them, aye?

I mean, look at that concentration. I'd think you were quite the pro by now when it comes to piping icing.

 

Hurray!

And now for the finishing touches....

We used the abundant leftover Halloween ( and dare I say, Easter ) candy from earlier in the year,

and I think it came out pretty nicely.

It's a Cookie Decorating Kind of Day!

When this season comes around, this is seriously one of your favorite activities.

I think it is mainly because you love anything that has to do with Art and Crafts, but I also think that subconsciously, it's because there's all this sweet stuff to nonchalantly "try" whilst you work :D

So we had these various cookies that we had made the day before,

And I had to conjure up some multi colored icing...

Dust off the little sprinkle cans, 

et, VOILA!

So we're just hanging out, listenin' to Xmas tunes and chillin' with the HTTYD Yule Log....

Can you tell the "Who's Who" of the stockings? I think it's pretty obvious :D

Making Sugar Cookies

When Christmas-time comes around, one of the things you love to do is to make and decorate cookies.

I really should get you more involved in the kitchen, seeing how you love helping me with these things, cos, I mean, it's fun - it's like Arts and Crafts, in a way.

I was too lazy to actually look up the recipe for Sugar Cookies, and decided to go with good ol' Betty Crocker instead.

You went free hand with some of them :)

G5 W15 Getting the Mail on a Cold Morning

One of the things that you like to do is to go for a morning walk over to the mailbox and back.

Usually, you help me with the dogs in the morning - you fill their food and water bowls while I bring them out, and then you help lift Wuss up the stairs while I pull him.

I call this the "Lift and Thrust" manoeuvre , like the forces on an airplane. It really helps the old guy get up the steps way easier, and I appreciate all the help that you so gladly offer.

Once the dogs are squared away, we go off and have our little morning chat about oh, just anything at all, as we walk down to the mailbox.

Sweet sweet times with a sweet sweet boy :)

We were at Walmart, when you noticed their Coca Cola Christmas display.

Of course, then it was "Take a picture, take a picture!"

Their Coca Cola Train was pretty cool. There was even a place for the "engineer" to sit.

Then there was the indoor "living room" scene, complete with Christmas Tree and Fireplace :)
