 Let's see..... Red Beans and Rice with Cinnamon Brown Sugar Apples, Fried Rice with Potato Curry, Sandwich with leftover meat, Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Biscuit with Tomato Soup, Empanadas, Eggplant Lasagna with Garlic SourDough.

Another Beautiful Fall Day

So beautiful that you thought nothing of going on our walk in shorts and a sleeveless tee! Your daddy and I weren't that brave - we had our jackets on :) 

Such exuberance of youth, tho. :)

Happiness is an early Christmas Present!

A New Chair!

Especially when it is in one of your favorite colors!

And has an adjustable height pneumatic thingy!

And it has "Gamer Chair" in its name!

You helped some with the assembly, and learned a little bit about using an Allen Wrench.

The whole time I was putting it together ( with your help ), you would say that I was "Ikea"ing.

 Oh Brother.

Now you can do your homework and er, watch videos and play games, in comfort. :)

The Short One

 I am officially ( well, I have been for a while now, but still.. ) the shortest human in our nuclear family.

You have been growing like a weed during these quarantine months.  

We just measured your height yesterday, and you are now 5'7".

At 11 years, 7 months, 3 weeks and 1 day.

Homemade Ice Cream

Daddy loves making homemade ice cream - cherry being his favorite flavor to do so..

And of course being the little one has its perks :) - including getting to lick the little plastic dasher :)

Cream Cheese/Artichoke/Spinach Jumbo Shells, Chili Baked Potato, Fiesta Salad, Shepherd's Pie, Shrimp with rice, Noodles with Chicken.

( sorry, there are some which I can't decipher....even if I did make them )

Shedding of Teeth en masse

This morning, you came out of your room all incredulous, holding a tooth in your hand.  You had been having breakfast, and out popped a tooth that had been wriggly.

It wouldn't be such a "thing", except that a couple of days ago, you had just shed another tooth.

And two more just a week or so ago.

You had been saying, "I don't lose any teeth for YEARS, and suddenly they are coming out all at the same time!"

I don't know that much about dentistry, and I don't remember all that clearly my own experiences with the shedding of teeth, but one quick google search later put my mind at ease. :)

Seriously, I am doing these blog posts like 6 months after the fact ( but re-dated to actual time ) and so there are a bunch of these meals that I look at, and think... Ehhhh?

I will try my best to recognize these...Red Beans and Rice, Chicken Tacos, Eggplant Lasagna, Green Enchilada, and there are 2 more that I am not certain of... bleh.

Happy Belated Halloween, Pumpkins.

 

I was NOT about to have a pumpkin rot on me in a week or so, 

so I made an executive decision that we weren't going to carve, but use markers instead.

Of course they would have to be the "Chill Face" from Roblox, and the Cyalm Symbol from Adventure Forward 2 :)

Library Books To Return

We had had these books for a while now, obviously not having returned them because of not leaving home to the library during The Pandemic.

When Cindy told us she was coming out to bring us some food from George's, I thought that would be a good opportunity to get them back to the library.

Oh My, What Big Feet You Have!

We had to get you new shoes seeing how the old ones were worn, but more importantly, they were getting terribly small.  I think most would argue that rather than the shoes shrinking, your FEET were the ones getting humongous. :P
