A Pleasant Surprise

It was a very very cold Friday, and so I suggested we have lunch at George's, so that I could have some hot soupiness ( Duck Noodle Soupiness, to be exact ).  Cindy was glad to have her #6 Beef Stew Soupiness as well :)

We hadn't been there in a while, but the food was as good as we remembered, but the best surprise of all was when Kareena walked in the door!

We were sure that she was at the Donut shop and wouldn't be there till evening, so it was great that you got to hang out with her a little ( and her cousin Ya-Ya ) before we had to leave.

The Day AFTER Christmas is STILL part of Christmas :)

We had one more present for you, which wasn't exactly fully charged... so we said that if you were really good, and put your stocking up on Christmas night, maybe Santa might have yet another surprise for you.

So first thing the next morning you begged us to go over to the RV where the stocking was hanging. 

When you saw that there WAS a surprise, and that it was a NABI 2 that you had been eyeing, you shouted...

"HOW DID SANTA KNOW I WANTED THAT???????"

*grin*

Oh, and yes, those are playdoh angry birds figurines that momma made you.. :)

We are taking it a little slower over the holidays as far as "work" goes, but we still had time to do some activities - Christmas-related or otherwise.

Photo Journalism

Last week, we ( read : Cindy ) managed to snag us the very coveted couch area at Starbucks :)

I was trying to take some photos of US, since I'm almost always the one taking photos and never having many photographic memories of the two of US.

You decided to read for us,

 

and then, of course, the ham in you started to take over.

Until of course, you decided that you wanted a shot at taking pictures, and hey, we had Cindy and Daddy as willing models  :)

A Current Favorite Pastime

Even though we haven't gotten the different "parts" quite together to depart for anywhere just as yet, you have been quite besotted with the RV* and have insisted on spending time in there every day, especially to watch the videos that we borrow from the library....

and to play a little bit of "Angry Birds" while we are there. :)

Sleepy Head

Whenever you yawn in the daytime, you always declare..

"Yes, I yawned, but it is not night time, and so I can't go to bed yet." or something to that extent.

Today, however, as we were coming home from Taco Tuesday ( and then Walmart ), you quietly fell asleep... and with a tortilla in your mouth too!

By the time I got my camera out, your hand had fallen to your lap, along with your partially eaten tortilla, but you were still every bit as adorable.

Oh, and by the way, according to Cindy and daddy, your great grandfather Smith was quite the over-the-arm-of-the-chair leg swinger-over as well ! :)

We'll have to introduce you to the movie version at some point

But for now, you think that Star Wars Angry Birds is just fantabulous :)

The Lounger

It's wonderful to see you when your imagination takes you to all these far away lands and the stories you can come up with when you are there :)

See that little face staring at the "square" orange block in the collage above?  That's the disappointment of a little 3 year old that there are not enough "round" orange blocks to complete your masterpiece with. :)

Also, it had been a while since we played with them, so we got out some of the puzzles that Mamo got you last Christmas. ( I think... )

Why the picture of "When Vera was Sick"? Well, we have this story book, and when anyone in Vera's house gets sick, they get to have the "Kitty", the special soft pillow with arms.

Well, in OUR house, we don't have to be sick to get the special "armed" pillow. We just need to be a little boy who has played hard and wants to lounge around watching his shows :) And you love your little red armed pillow.

Yes, it is also a place for extreme silliness.

But you know what I like best? When you love your Mama so much that you leave the comfy armed pillow and come squeeze in with her on her chair :)
