Across the Globe

Aunt Marsha helped Kong Kong and Po Po set up Skype on Kong Kong's computer and we started skyping with them a few days ago! There were a few minor bugs but it was great to see and talk to them! They hadn't ever seen you in person or "live" before, so it was such a delight for them and us too! They talked to you, watched you chew on stuff, scoot around and just be plain adorable :)

Aunt Joanna and your two cousins, Glendon and Evangeline are now back in Malaysia as well, so we've got to get HER to set her computer up so that you can get to know your cousins as well!

Baby's First Thanksgiving

Allen and Anastasia were really excited to see you. The last time they saw you was when you were just a teeny tiny 8 week or so old baby. Allen wanted to hold you and he thought you liked him :)

Teeth Update

Your second tooth came out over a week ago, and is peeking out just a little bit more every day. I haven't noticed any top teeth coming out yet, but it'll just be a matter of time. I've started cleaning your teeth, gums and tongue with a wet washcloth - I remember MY mother doing that to us kids when we were little. I'm glad I get to spend all this time with you because time really does fly past, and you are now almost 8 months and we've loved every second of it.

The Boy is going places...

Literally.

You've started pulling with your arms and pushing off with your legs and the day before yesterday, you actually got where you were heading for. i.e the vent on the floor. Woah.

Adventures in Crawling

Or at least trying to.

So far you've gotten where you've set your mind on going by a combination of rolling, dragging, slithering and squirming.. Right now, you're at the point where, whenever we put you down anywhere to sit, you will immediately get on your hands and knees. You aren't quite crawling yet, but you're learning to steady yourself in this position, rocking back and forth, assessing the situation and figuring out the pushing off on the knee thing.

Just in Case

Your second tooth is coming out, and although you don't seem to be too perturbed, I thought it would be better to be armed with some Baby Orajel just in case...

Otherwise, you love to stand stand stand. These days when I try to sit you up from a "laying down" position, you would stiffen your legs to make me hold you in a standing position! :) You can hold on to stuff and stand on your own for a little bit now.

and one to the doctor's today - for your flu shots. Bleh. Can you believe I've saved all the bandaids from your shots, for er, posterity? We might have to call that Extreme Scrapbooking/Hoarding/Packratting or something.

Your First Halloween

You were the cutest baby bear ever this Halloween :) Mummy and daddy brought you to the church trunk party and even got you some "token" candy :P
