Happy 2nd Birthday, Little Boy

We celebrated your birthday with the family a few days early, at Mamo's House...

we had an Elmo cupcake cake, Elmo plates and Elmo napkins.

You were quite oblivious that all the hoopla was for you..As far as you were concerned, it was a time to play, play, play :)

And have cupcakes, of course :)

When we got to Mamo's house, Max was at the sandbox by the swing. He immediately turned around and asked you if you wanted to come play with him. Sometimes you are a little wary of Max's exuberance. Max loves to play with you, and at times he chases you around Rosa's during Taco Tuesday, which makes you a little intimidated by him.

You didn't want to join him in the sandbox at first ( but you did, later on ), but you were eyeballing the ball that was right there by it.

We catch our first glimpse of the aforementioned ball, but Max is just right there by it on the other side...



So we go into super stealthy mode, complete with shifty eyes...



We reach the ball and grab it real quick..

Good Night, Little Boy

We have our ups and downs

good nights and bad ones,

but we always try to keep to our routine, one of which is to tell daddy goodnight before we go into the bedroom.

You have always said "Bye Bye Daddy" and never "Goodnight", but yesterday, out of nowhere, you said, "Oo Ny, Daddy". Like, woah.

Tonight, as you gave in after playing a little and squirming ( basically STALLING ) for a bit, you finally decided you were ready to go to bed, and said, "Oo Ny, Mama".

Oblivious

Your current obsession is/are the Bubble Guppies

It's the newest show on Nick Jr and have a pretty catchy theme song, as well as a bevy of songs in each episode.

When you are not in your "I'm watching the Bubble Guppies and have tuned out the rest of the world, aka. DO NOT DISTURB" mode ( as in the photo above ), you can often be found DEMANDING to watch the aforementioned show with the incessant chanting of "guppa guppy guppa guppy GUPPA GUPPY!!!!"

Good thing they have streaming episodes and clips on the nick jr. website. :)

Gotta Catch Up

It's not like we've stopped documenting your growth, little boy. It's just that both you and momma have been sick on and off, and needing to go to bed early etc, but hopefully once this infernal cold/sinusitis/cough starts to get better, I will try to be better at blogging.

At least YOU have momma to fall asleep on, when the going gets rough :)
