Bubble Kiss

Daddy bought a new bubble wand for you the other day, and you ran around chasing them, trying to kiss them!

Sprinkles make everything better

You wanted a sandwich the other day, and for some reason it did not come out quite as you had envisioned.  You then proceeded to get all in a huff and was not having it and all like that. I tried to think quickly and wondered what would turn your mood around.

Then, I thought, SPRINKLES and cupcake decorations!

Sure enough, when I suggested that we decorate your sandwich, you immediately stopped whining and was really looking forward to dressing the sandwich up with googly eyes and sprinkles.

Phew. Crisis Averted.

Update: Oh, I remember now.. you didn't want your sandwich sliced diagonally for some reason. *bleh*

You claimed you were a knight in a castle/tower, and was protecting it from the dragon.

You, my boy, can be quite the ham.

We were at United on Sunday for lunch, and you noticed these huge "Back to School" crayons at each of the checkout lanes, and got really excited.

 

You asked me to get my camera so that you could have your picture taken, and proceeded to "work it".

My favorite one is this Zoolander Blue Steelish ( albeit sans the pout ) pose full of your impish swagger, complete with one raised eyebrow, spooky hand signals and the pointed left foot  :)

At Max and Jet's

Sometimes you ask me when we will be going to Max and Jet's again, because as we all know, they have just about the coooooolest toys :)

Your chance came when we went over there for Sabrina, Tyler and Holly's joint birthday party the past Tuesday.  As usual, you were more interested in playing than eating, but that was to be expected.. You DID make an exception for cake, though :)

Learn and Play

Just recapping a little bit of what we've been doing...

We continue to do our alphabet, and related activities... not so much knowing the alphabet, since you have known your ABCs, numbers and colors since you were 18 months or so.. but this time around, more comprehension, (pre) writing and other skills.

We've been using the tablet to watch a bunch of old school classic Sesame Street shorts/clips on Youtube, related to the things that we are doing that week etc,

and after watching The E Song again, you have decided you liked eggs again.  You loved them a while back, and then somehow lost interest, but have started requesting eggs again after watching the video.

You got to  play with paints the other day, and did a bunch of finger painting

and painting on the cut end of a napa cabbage to do some stamping with...

and then of course, it turned into  "what can I do with this stump and my paints?"

and for the grand finale, you of course, once again, threatened to eat the paint. LOL

Friday Friday, Gotta get down on Friday

It's Friday again, which means we go grocery shopping at HEB,

which means you get to do the WHEEL OF FORTUNE!!

Well, actually it's more like the HEBuddy Spin and Win...

and yes, you love to put HEB stickers on your nose.

I know.

I wish we had more mornings like this...

This was from a few weeks ago, when the heat in the morning was still tolerable.

I got out your angry birds coloring book, which you were still pretty much semi-obsessed with coloring at that time, and we sat outside coloring for a while. :)

Right now it is 10 pm, and the temperature outside is still  95 degrees, for crying out loud.  And it doesn't cool down all that much in the night either.

 

Thank goodness we have these big trees in the yard that are such a blessing in times like these, for little boys and mommas to be able to hang out in the yard.
