Bad Mummy...
I had some of these photos in the "Jaxon's Blog" folder waiting to be posted, but it took only like A MONTH later to do so. Bleh :)
ANYWAY,
Here's you rediscovering your old toys that were put away for a bit - the Ball Popper, The Block Puzzles and oh yeah, the Playskool walk and ride thingy!
Then here's you in your Pilgrim hat when we were learning all about Thanksgiving and doing our worksheets. I asked you a couple of days ago "What ship did the pilgrims come to America on", and you remember, "MAYFLOWER!!" :)
Here's one that you drew the other day. Usually, I leave that part of the worksheet blank or I draw something in for you, but this time I thought I'd let you do the drawing yourself, and you were more than happy to oblige! :)

We love Parks and Playgrounds
I keep starting my blog posts with "A few weeks ago", and this time it's no different :)
A few weeks ago, we took advantage of the nicer weather to get outside, after all the blistering heat of the summer - which around these here parts, extends way into the fall.
We stopped by one of the Parks with our subs, looking for a place to have brunch. It was windy that day, so we needed some kind of wind break. Daddy came up with this brilliant idea of eating at the little league dugout/press box thingy which was a little more shielded.

What freaked the you out a little was being able to see through the "floor" grating, onto the ground below!
Of course, when you are at a PARK that has a PLAYGROUND, there can be no getting around stopping by for "just a few minutes, pleeeeeeeease!"
We managed to fit in a few other playground times as well...
This has to be the most hilarious photo in the playground set :)

Prairie Dog Town
We traveled to Lubbock the other day, and passed by cotton and windmill country
Hey, we even got to use your foldable travel table! :) We had some stickers for you to do in your sticker book, and some books and coloring books etc, and you were very cooperative during the long ride. PLUS it really helps that you are potty trained. Phew.
Before we set off for home, we stopped by MacKenzie Park and went to check out Prairie Dog Town.
At first, we had a "unclear of the concept" moment where you kept trying to get over the wall to join the prairie dogs or something :P
After a while, you joined daddy in trying to feed some crackers we had, to the prairie dogs.
It was a little frustrating because the crackers looked so much like the rocks that were all around them, but after a while, they started finding them :)
You were a real trooper all the way there and back, and I believe you even had fun! :) We love you, little boy :)

Old Chums
We hadn't seen them in a while, so the other day when we were in town, we decided to drop by AM Donuts to see if Kareena was awake and ready for a play date :)
At first she was really shy and so you were off doing your own stuff, but then with a little prompting, you tried to get her to play with you. I think you might have been trying to show off your dance moves to see if she would join in.
And then, her daddy came home, and she quickly warmed up to the situation and got much brave, giggling and getting you to play catch/tag with her :)
All in all, it was fun for you to see an old friend again :)
