Happy Birthday, Little Boy :)

It has been a tiring weekend, but Thank God everything went according to plan, and we celebrated your birthday with so many people who love you so dearly :)

Let's go to the Movies

Last week, we went to Town and Country Drive In to watch .... Lego Movie and Frozen - yup, it was a double feature and ended waaaaaaaay past your bed time, but we thought, "What the heck" and just went with it.

You were excited, and of course, there was popcorn, and you were seated comfortably on my lap/in my chair the whole time, so you didn't really complain, except for 3 or 4 times during the movies when you didn't like how the story was going, and you would duck down and say that you were ready to go home now. :)

The next day, we asked you what the best part of it was, and your answer was, "The Mickey Mouse Cartoon!". *sigh* :) To be fair, it made you laugh out loud all over the place, and really made an impression on you, whereas the Lego movie and Frozen are probably for the "a little bit older kids" crowd, but you were sweet and very well behaved throughout :)

These would slip through the cracks....

Biking

The driveway at our place is all rocky, bumpy and uneven - country style - and so, whenever we attempt to ride your bicycle, it is always super hard, and you get quite discouraged.

( I told daddy I  made him look like one of those Minecraft Heads with the pixelation  - LOL )

So, the last few times we were at the "Umbrella Playground" at Clyde, we brought your bicycle along, and you rode very well, especially in the covered area that had a concrete floor. :) You were quite encouraged and excited.

But of course, the lure of the playground equipment - and other children's company - would often be too much to bear,

( In the photo below, you actually steered the bike OUT onto the circular bike/walk lane and daddy and I are like, "Where ARE you going, little boy???" and you nonchalantly answer, "I'm going to the playground!". Uh huh, right. )

 and so, off you go, running, jumping, climbing and having a grand time.

And yes, you got photobombed by your daddy :)

Little Boy Logic

Mummy : Here's your clothes. Can you take your PJs off and put your clothes on, please?

Jaxon : Can I keep my PJs on?

Mummy : Why?

Jaxon : When I am in my clothes, I feel like I am 4 years old, but when I am in my PJs, I feel like I am 3. *grin*

Mummy : Er, okay, then.

Mummy the Doctor

Jaxon : Mummy, I think Yellow Bird needs a checkup

Mummy :What's wrong with him?

Jaxon : I'll bring him to you so you can look.

................

Jaxon : Feel his tail, Mummy? And see Red Bird's tail? They're different.

Mummy  :I see. Red Bird's tail is fuzzy like the rest of his body, and the fur on Yellow Bird's tail is shorter, like the hair on his body.

Jaxon :Yes, Mummy, that's why I needed you to give him a check up

Mummy :Well, I think he is fine. It's like you have brown and curly hair and I have black and straight hair.  They are different, but both are healthy.

Jaxon :Yes, Mummy. *grins* Thank you for giving Yellow Bird a checkup :)

Mummy : Anytime, little boy. Anytime. :)

Peter Rabbit

The last few weeks, we had been reading Beatrix Potter's books and watching animations based on those books. You have enjoyed them, and look forward to all the different stories.

We did a bunch of different activities, 

 

and read a few books that were related to gardens, 

and even grew a bunch of peas and beans! I'll have to post a follow-up post on how incredibly much they have grown!

Arrrrrr

We've had some pretty freezing Arctic weather come our way this winter, and we've had to go by the Propane place a few times to fill up our tanks for the RV.

And of course, here's a sample of the silliness that goes on while we wait in the car for Daddy.

Random Jaxonisms/Jaxonspeak, while I have them on my mind :

"But I've NEVER been to the Mall Playground in a LONG time.."

"Yes, I want to go to the Pheeno Peeno ( Filipino ) store too!"

"I remember I go'ed there before"
