"I can still fit, Mommy.."
As you get bigger and stronger, you begin to outgrow ( size-wise) some of the little things you enjoy. *heart pang*
Tooth #6
Who would have known that there be tooth posts back to back.
You lost your first top front tooth - the right one. We were having breakfast when you suddenly started shouting, "A TOOTH! A TOOTH!"
You wrote about it in your journal the next day, except you drew it as a mirror image - i.e. the OTHER front tooth - because that's the only way you have ever seen it - in a mirror.
Heheheh.

Tooth #5
You lost your first canine tooth over a week ago.
It had been bugging you for quite a while now, and as it got closer to coming off, it got harder to eat without some pain, so we were all very glad when it finally came off.
The most amazing thing is that, it seems that you were so relieved that it was out, that the thought of the Tooth Fairy never crossed your mind. Not even when you saw your tooth in a little baggy on the bathroom counter top the next day.
Strange... or just growing up?

A Rare Treat
We don't eat at McD's very much. Occasionally we drop by to see Uncle Lin and we get you a $1 fries or something.
Two nights ago, Daddy and I were working till really late installing something in the RV, and organizing the storage unit we rent. So I didn't have the time to make dinner. After that long, long day, I was not ready to go get something that needed any work at all. So, we went by McD, got some grilled chicken sandwiches for us and some sausage biscuits for you, and headed on home.
You needed your biscuits cut up into small pieces tho, because you have a lower canine that is on the verge of coming off and so it hurts a bit when you try to bite/tear food.
I suspect we will be receiving a visit from the Tooth Fairy pretty soon. :)

Well Child Clinic
So we went for your 7 year old well child checkup earlier in the week.
You had been been a little anxious a the days counted down to the doctor's visit, but by the time we came home, you were wishing you could do it all over again!
This year, you had to do a vision and hearing test besides the pediatrician's examination. You had fun doing the whole covering-one-eye-then-the-other routine, and you were giggling when the physician's assistant had you raise your hand each time you heard a beep over the headphones for the hearing test.
Then you got a case of the tickles when Dr. Wiley started checking your abdomen and such. :)
It was heartening to hear the doctor confirm that you were growing up healthy and strong ( as if we didn't already know that ).
You are still in the 99th percentile on the charts, still growing big and strong. :)
