Operation Troop Treats

We had been meaning to do this every year, but always seemed to miss the short window of time when it was available.

This year, I made sure that we got all the excess candy ready and bagged up to bring to the dentist, as part of Operation Troop Treats.

This is where you bring the candy that you got for Halloween ( the ones you don't intend to keep ), and bring them to a participating dentist, in exchange for a toy.  They then pack up these candy and send them to troops that have been deployed overseas.

We brought in so many bags of candy, that the nurses were quite taken aback, and gave you one of each toy they were giving out to the kids.  There's a little green teddy bear, a toy car of some sort, and a fake cellphone that is actually a game in disguise :)

You felt good about sharing all that candy with the soldiers, and didn't at all mind the toys you got! :)
