This time around, I decided on something a bit more "crafty".  I had some free magazines lurking around, and so I decided that we would do some "ripped paper" collage art.

You took right to it, and decided you wanted to make a picture of Piggie Plushie :)

So you come running into my room, incredulous, going on about how GOOGLE couldn't decipher stuff you were drawing!

"I need your phone to take some pictures as proof!"

errrr..

Now that you are feeling all better,

It was time to dive into the birthday presents,

and what better project than a LEGO DRAGON!

I wish we had lots and lots and lots of space, as well as shelf space for your projects, because right now all I can do is put them in a plastic container until we have the infrastructure to display your works.

Till then, you can always get them out when you want to and have some Rip ROARING fun!

G4 W32 Someone's down with some stomach flu

You have been complaining that your stomach was hurting since morning, and when you were hardly eating anything, THAT was unusual.

I gave you some Tylenol, and in the night, you had an some diarrhoea.  Daddy had put a bucket next to your bed, just in case you felt extra bad.

You came to wake me up in the night to tell me you had thrown up, and the bucket had caught MOST of it.   You changed into fresh PJs while I tried to clean the area as best as I could before calling you to come back to bed.

You didn't throw up again that night, but felt only a little bit better the next day.  We had another day off school, and you rested and chilled.

The day after that, though, you were back to being your boisterous self.

Thank God!

G4 W30 Pointillism Sunday

I should be better about having a "Art Curriculum", but this week, I decided that we would do some pointillism.

I started off showing you some different examples of pictures made with the technique,

and told you that you could then decide to draw whatever you wanted.

You of course, chose to draw a character from Adventure Forward 2, and I chose a stylized Silky.

It was pretty time consuming and took patience, 

but I really liked the end results, 

don't you?

Board Games at the Library

The library has gone through a little rearranging of spaces, and now a slightly enclosed "Teen area" is a little closer to the Littler Kids' Area.

It's pretty cool. They have cutesy chairs and a number of BOARD GAMES!

Jaxon's Board Game

You took the time to design and produce a boardgame which was, honestly, quite funny and entertaining.

Good job, little boy!

It was pretty elaborate with a card holder thingy and individual player pieces - Customized for you and me!

Of course, you were heavily influenced by Monopoly, but this was totally your own take on it. with characters from the different Roblox worlds.

We certainly had a lot of fun and laughs :)

G4 W29 Artsy Time

We had made some funky hearts for Valentine's Day, which I hadn't posted yet,

and then we commemorated Dr. Seuss's birthday by doing some Seussian Art.  First of all, we drew colorful figures, shapes, plants, animals, etc that looked like something the Good Doctor himself would come up with,

and then cut them out and arranged them on a piece of paper :)
