Grade 2 Week 38 ( May 07 - May 13 )

Yes, I finally added a date to the title.  'Nuff Said.

You were intrigued by the "Jack and the Beanstalk" choose-your-own-adventure, so I got what others I could find at the library for you.

And of course, there's always the staple of Dav Pilkey offerings.

We still keep our horizons open to read new things, though.

Oh, and the two of you tried to fit some parts of your bodies into a huge boot at the library.
Yah.....

This is also the week that we decided to try and take the training wheels off your already-too-small bike.  It didn't work too well though. We need to get a bigger bike for our growing boy.

On the plus side, there was some rain, and with rain, comes Muddy Puddles.
'Nuff Said Part Deux.

I also found a overlooked hard boiled Easter Egg.  I did NOT open it up to see what condition it was in. I had a hunch it might not be to my liking if I did that.

And of course, there were the evening walks with Jasper and Daddy.

How fast you grow, little one.

Grade 2 Week 37

What can I say, it wasn't that eventful...

I came across your little baby sandals...... and took a photo of it next to my hand for reference.
And then there was the little pouch I had done for Daddy some years ago. 2 of my favorite photos of my boys together.

Grade 2 Week 36

Captain Underpants remains one of your favorites, as we try to expand your horizons in books.

Also, you can never go wrong with Angry Birds, Star Wars or the Minions, among other things.

Then, of course, there's the obligatory "A Lesson hidden in a Book" theme....

As well as other things for rounding up our reading choices.

You also find every opportunity to draw and doodle.
L: Snoopy and Angry Birds, M: George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, R: Well, Mr. Notepad Snowman.

Here's a Christmas wrapper I "re"found while I was sorting out stuff.

I finally took out that Dollar Tree archaeological dig thingy for you to do.  I think it is still halfway explored in your room. Too hard, maybe?

Here you are pretending to be a Truck Driver...

And in this one, you're pretending to be a GiAnt. :)

Grade 2 Week 35

The Saga of Captain Underpants continues...

as well as that of Mercy Watson.

Grumpy Cat kept you entertained for hours..

as well as the Star Wars book we borrowed.

Also, the whole "Jaxon was here" messages continued to appear all over....

It is also a treat whenever you get to spend a few minutes with Mary :)

and hey, we lost a tooth this week!

It was the Easter weekend, and you got to go out to the front of the congregation with the other children and receive your Jelly Bean Prayer

When we got home, we set off on decorating a few eggs of our own.

We had quite a diversified bunch there, I have to say.

I also got out my old mannequin, and you had fun photographing it in various positions.

and speaking of bringing out of old stuff, I took out the water-spouting seal of yore, and tried hooking it up.

We had fun for a bit, but it bit the dust due to some under-engineered manufacturing.

But not before we had a bunch of fun with it :)

Also, it was Maddie's birthday, and we brought some gifts over, and you guys had quite the time

Flashbacks

We were at McDonald's with Uncle Lin the other day, and I brought you to the outside area.

We had spent so much time out there in the past, when you were a little little boy. and you would go explore every nook and cranny.
You loved walking over the rocks, and hiding among the bushes, and picking out the smooth little stones and arranging them.
You are so much bigger now, but you are still full of sweetness.
Stay that way, little boy :)
