Okay, the title sounds a little morbid, but we're reading about Johnny Appleseed and apples this week.
I know a lot of people like to do Apples and Johnny in the fall, i.e. Septemberish, but I thought, oh what the hey, some people celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day in March anywayz.
So... we got a few of the squishier older apples and peeled them - you LOVED the peels, by the way - and started carving.
We dunked them in a salt/lemon juice mixture and now they are drying in the oven. I'll post how they look like once it's done! :)
