We had a visitor at school this week.
A chicken in a minecart.
The chicken got adventurous and decided he was going to do an impersonation of Han Solo in Carbonite.
I think he was pretty good at it.
We drew our observations of seeds and how they were disseminated.
Yup, we used our descriptive vocabulary.
Then we checked up on the seeds we had planted for root observations, and turned them upside down to see how the roots would respond.
You were thrilled to see them all twisty turny in their quest to conform to gravity.
You even answered that it was in their DNA to know which way was down.
*kabooshhh - mind blown*
During one of your breaks, you decided that you would turn into a pillow for fun.
I think it was pretty convincing, aye?
We did our times tables ( I even got to be part of the work you were doing )
I improvised a little on the Number Train activity, and you loved it!
Oh, and with the changing of seasons, the sun has started coming in at an awkward angle, hitting our poor eyeballs and making it hard to do work. Soooo the window got a DIY makeover.
It worked! It diffused the sunlight, giving us enough light while keeping the glare off of us. Hurray!
And we continued our love of reading...
